Our Beliefs
We believe that the Bible is the only infallible inspired written Word of God. The Bible is the authority and the final verdict for our lives and life styles. II Timothy 3:16 & 17 (AMP) says:
16 Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action),
17 So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.
We believe in the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost which is known as the Trinity. The Trinity is one God existing in three persons acting on one accord – God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit). Although the word “Trinity” is not mentioned in the Bible it is the word that Christians use to describe the God Head. I John 5:7 (KJV) Says:
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
We believe in the death, burial, and resurrection of the son of God, Jesus Christ. We believe that Christ died on the cross for our sins and that God raised Him from the dead with all power in His hand. Anyone who believes this in his heart and confesses that Jesus is Lord is saved. Romans 10:9–13 (AMP) Says:
9 Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.
11 The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adheres to, relies on, and trusts in Him] will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed.
12 [No one] for there is no distinction between Jew and Greek. The same Lord is Lord over all [of us] and He generously bestows His riches upon all who call upon Him [in faith].
13 For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord [invoking Him as Lord] will be saved.
We believe that every Christian should be baptized, not in order to be saved, but because you are saved. We believe that baptism is a demonstration of salvation showing that you have united with Christ. Romans 6:3–5 (MSG) says:
3-5 That is what happened in baptism. When we went under the water, we left the old country of sin behind; when we came up out of the water, we entered into the new country of grace—a new life in a new land! That’s what baptism into the life of Jesus means. When we are lowered into the water, it is like the burial of Jesus; when we are raised up out of the water, it is like the resurrection of Jesus. Each of us is raised into a light-filled world by our Father so that we can see where we’re going in our new grace-sovereign country.
Galatians 3:25–27 (MSG) says:
25-27 But now you have arrived at your destination: By faith in Christ you are in direct relationship with God. Your baptism in Christ was not just washing you up for a fresh start. It also involved dressing you in an adult faith wardrobe—Christ’s life, the fulfillment of God’s original promise.
We believe in being creative and innovative in reaching and ministering to people and winning souls for Christ. I Corinthians 9:22 (NIV) Says:
22 To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some..
